Easy and transparent!
You will receive two invoices from us once a year, one from YTK Unemployment Fund and the other from YTK Worklife. The fund’s membership fee is tax-deductible. Invoicing couldn’t be more transparent than this! If you want to make things even easier, order an e-invoice!
The membership fee is paid for one year at a time
YTK Unemployment Fund’s membership fee is tied to the membership period. In other words, in the year of starting or terminating your membership, you will only pay for the period that you have been a member. YTK Worklife membership fee is 105 € in 2024. As a member of an unemployment fund, you are entitled to daily allowance in the event of unemployment or temporary lay-off.
If you are a combined member of YTK, in addition to income security, you will have access to the working life services provided by YTK Worklife. YTK Worklife membership fee is for a fixed calendar year, regardless of the date you start or terminate your membership. YTK Worklife membership fee is 24 € in 2024.
Your membership begins on paying the membership fee
When you join, we will send you a membership fee invoice within about a week of joining. Pay the membership fee according to the invoice, and your membership will start from the date the membership application arrives.
If you are already a member, we will send you a membership fee invoice at the beginning of the year. When you pay the membership fee by the due date, your membership will remain valid without interruptions.
Your membership will only remain valid by paying the membership fee. When paying, always use the correct reference number so that your membership fee is matched correctly. Take this into account especially when you receive invoices from both the unemployment fund and working life services.
Make your life even easier and pay by e-invoice
Paying by e-invoice is the easiest and most convenient way of managing your membership fees. You can pay by e-invoice in two ways:
- Authorise e-invoicing in your online bank:
a) Log in to your online bank.
b) Follow the instructions in your online bank to order an e-invoice.
c) If you need an invoice reference number, you can find the reference number of the unemployment fund in OmaYTK and the reference number of working life services in OMA+ under Membership fees > Invoice information. - Accept a proposed e-invoice through the e-service:
a) Log in to OmaYTK (Unemployment Fund e-invoice) or OMA+ (e-invoice for working life services) and click Switch to e-invoice in the bar on the right.
b) Select your bank from the list.
c) Click Send e-invoice proposal.
d) IMPORTANT: The proposal for an e-invoice will be sent to your online bank within 1–3 business days to wait for your approval. You must accept the proposal within 30 days or it will lapse and the order will not be successful. Proposals may not be shown in the mobile applications of some banks. However, you can approve the proposal through the browser version of your online bank.
If the membership fee is not paid
In order for your income security to remain valid without interruption, paying the membership fee is of paramount importance. If the membership fee is not paid, we will have to terminate your membership. In this case, your membership ends until when the membership fee was paid, i.e. usually until the end of the previous year. If you later rejoin an unemployment fund and there is a break of more than a month between memberships, you must start accruing membership and employment history from the beginning.
If earnings-related unemployment allowance has been paid to you during the current year, the membership fee must be paid at least until the daily allowance was paid. Otherwise the earnings-related unemployment allowances paid must be paid back.
Simply stopping paying your membership fee is not a good way to end your membership. If you intend to terminate your membership in YTK Unemployment Fund or YTK Worklife, do so by submitting a notice of termination.
If your membership in YTK Unemployment Fund ends, your possible membership in YTK Worklife and all insurance cover and services included in it will also end.
FAQ about e-invoicing
An e-invoice is an electronic invoice delivered directly to your mobile or online bank. It is a digital version of a traditional paper invoice. Invoicing information such as the amount, due date and payee are pre-filled in.
Please note that the YTK Unemployment Fund and YTK Worklife will send you separate membership fee invoices. You must make a separate e-invoice authorisation for the YTK Unemployment Fund membership fee. Read more.
- E-invoicing is completely free of charge for you. We will charge you 5 € for a paper invoice in the future.
- An e-invoice will always arrive quickly, wherever you are. So there is no risk of your mail getting lost or delayed.
- If you wish, you can choose to have your e-invoice automatically accepted by your online bank. Then you don’t even have to approve the invoice separately.
- Your invoices are stored in one, secure place. Your invoice details are correct and ready in your mobile or online bank, so there are no typing errors, for example.
- There are no processing or postage costs for e-invoices. This is a direct benefit to each of our members, saving us money and keeping our membership fees affordable.
- E-invoicing is the most eco-friendly option.
You can usually easily spot a new e-invoice in your online bank. You can turn on notifications in your online bank, so you will see a notification when you log in to your online bank that a new invoice has arrived. Most online banks will also remind you of the approaching due date if the e-invoice has not yet been paid.
If you wish, you can also subscribe to receive a notification of a new e-invoice from your online bank by SMS or email. You can access these in your online banking settings.
If you have not opted for automatic approval of your e-invoice, it will never be debited from your account until you have explicitly approved it.
Yes, an e-invoice must be paid by the due date, just like a traditional paper invoice. If you are unable to pay your invoice by the due date, please contact us as soon as possible. See contact information.
If you have not paid your membership fee invoice by the due date, we will send you a reminder by email. Any second reminder will be sent in paper form and will be charged 5 €.
In your online bank, you can change the payment account and amount of your e-invoice or, for example, bring forward the due date of your invoice. You can also set your e-invoice to be paid automatically on the due date, which will help ensure that the invoice is paid on time, even if you forget to authorise it separately.
There has probably been an error in ordering the e-invoice. Membership fee invoices are sent early in the year and if you have not been able to switch to an e-invoice, you will still receive a paper invoice from us. Pay your membership fee using the information on the paper invoice. You should then order a new e-invoice for next year’s membership fee invoice. Start by logging into your online banking and delete any old e-invoice subscription. The next day, make a new e-invoice subscription or subscribe to a new e-invoice proposal in the OMA+ -service.
Above, you can find instructions on how to order an e-invoice request.
Please note that the YTK Unemployment Fund and YTK Worklife will send you separate membership fee invoices. You must make a separate e-invoice authorisation for the YTK Unemployment Fund membership fee. Read more.
If you wish, you can transfer your e-invoice to another online bank or to a different account.
To transfer your e-invoice to a different account in the same online bank:
- Log in to your online bank.
- Find the section in your online bank where you can manage your e-invoices (usually called “e-invoices” or “invoices”).
- Select the e-invoice you want to transfer.
- Most online banks allow you to change your payment account directly from your e-invoice settings. Select the new account from which the e-invoices will be paid.
- Save your changes.
Transferring an e-invoice to another online bank:
- Start by cancelling your e-invoice with your old online bank. You can do this by logging into the online bank where your e-invoice is currently held. Go to the e-invoice management section and cancel the e-invoice subscription.
- Subscribe to your e-invoice in your new online bank. You can make an e-invoice authorisation directly in your new online bank or order it in the OMA+ -service.
Above, you can find instructions on how to order an e-invoice.
Yes, you can. If you want to exchange your e-invoice for a paper invoice, cancel the e-invoice subscription in your online bank (select the invoicer and cancel the e-invoice subscription). We will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the cancellation from your bank and change your billing method to paper billing. Remember that a separate invoice surcharge of 5 € will be applied for paper invoices in the future. An e-invoice, on the other hand, is completely free of charge.
A common problem with e-invoices is that an e-invoice subscription has been ordered using the details of another person’s invoice, such as a family member’s. We also receive reports that our members have received another person’s invoice in their online bank account. This is usually a typing error on the reference number.
These e-invoice orders are incorrect. Please cancel the e-invoice subscription in your online bank and then make a new e-invoice subscription the next day.
Above, you can find instructions on how to order an e-invoice request.
Yes, if your membership of the YTK Worklife has ended, the previous e-invoice order is no longer valid. You should make a new e-invoice order as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary charges in the future.
