A record number of YTK Worklife members were interested in new knowledge and skills, especially artificial intelligence, in 2023. Several thousand new users registered with the Worklife online training library and tens of thousands of views of training content. Many people are now thinking about the impact of artificial intelligence on work, for example.

Several thousand new users registered for the YTK Worklife online training library, which is part of its member benefits, during 2023. The library’s content was viewed almost 30 000 times.

“There has been a lot of talk recently about the transformation of working life and the impact of artificial intelligence on work, for example. Perhaps tellingly, excel, long the most popular training content, fell to second place as AI training took the top spot. Last year, many people, regardless of their sector, wondered what the future of their work would look like and how they could make use of AI,” says Ilona Kangas, Director of Worklife at the YTK.

They may also wonder about their own skills – what kind of skills will I need in the future and how can I develop them?

“Our aim is to provide everyone with the conditions to take care of their own employability. It’s great if employers are responsible for the skills of their employees, but we also encourage everyone as an individual to be actively curious. The unemployed, for example, do not have the same opportunities for training as the employed, but on the other hand, they are the ones who should keep up with the changing world of work. That is why we want to offer quality learning to all our members,” says Kangas.

The online training library offered by YTK Worklife to its members is produced by Eduhouse, a provider of digital learning solutions. The entire content, i.e. thousands of training courses, is available to YTK Worklife members for unlimited use for an annual membership fee of 24 €.
